Doesn’t feel like it though.  We have been engulfed in a serious cold stretch here.  But, with the new year upon us, it usually means people begin to plan their summer vacations.  We are as well.

We encourage you to put ShipPet on your vacation checklist of things to do early to prepare for your Spring or Summer travels.  Beginning around March the whole way through August, there are some weeks that get pretty booked up to the point we need to turn clients away.  To ensure it doesn’t happen for your travel plans, get on our calendar nice and early and reserve your spot.

If this year has been any indication, we are going to have a very busy holiday season.  Particularly, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We encourage you to book your pet sittign with us as soon as you make your holiday travel plans.  We have not had to limit the numebr of reservations yet during the Holiday season, but this year has really been busy and we could get tothe point we have to limit reservations.  So call or email us as soon as you have your plan set, so we can get you on our calendar.  Just simply email us or call.

The kids are back to school, the summer months have expired, but Ship Pet is still busy. How does that add up?

With the summer winding down and the fall months and winters month lying ahead, cooler weather, and lets face it, down right cold weather, is on the way. All we ask is to ensure that all of our pets, especially those that live outside, have adequate shelter from the elements and the cold.

We have our cell phones with us at all times and they are email compatable, so you can reach us!

**** Referral program ****

Existing customers, refer friends or family to us, and save!  Now and running through to January 1, 2009, refer a client to us, and save either $10 or $15 on your next reservation.  If the booking is under $75.00, we’ll credit you $10 on your next booking.  If it is over $75, we will discount you $15.  That simple!

**** Photo Gallery ****

We are going to get this thing cranking again.  So send us your pics of your pets so we can add them to our Photo Album that will be coming soon.   Just email them to us at shippet@gmail.com

**** Current Blackout Dates *****

Talk about advance notice.  The only dates we have blacked out in which service availability will be LIMITED and likely we take no bookings that week, will be August 15 though 22, 2009.  We will be on vacation ourselves that week.

**** EXCITEMENT !!!! *****

Graduation from Law School is now set.  I am officially done with Law School on May 17, 2009 and will sit for the Pennsylvania Bar Examination on July 28 and 29, 2009.  WoooooHoooooo!  Were closing in!

It will be interesting on our part to see how gas prices effect people and their vacations and travels.  We are in a unique business to see what kind of impact, if any, gas prices are having on the economy.  Many people may choose to fly over drive, take shorter distant trips, others may stay home all together, while other may not be affected at all.

I would have said in early 2008 and first part of Spring that people were cutting back.  Our Spring bo0okings weren’t that great and we attributed that to higher fuel prices.  BUT, just when we thought we had it figured it out, we have had a pretty solid April and May and our bookings are rolling in for the summer.  Now, I have not had the opportunity to check and see if we are experiencing shorter travel arrangements in what we book, but my bet is, probably not.

So, looks like it will be another busy summer.  So be SURE to call or email us right away when you plan your summer vacation so you can be assured to get on our calendar and get your reservation with us locked up.

*** Black Out Dates ***  Please remember, ShipPet will be taking ONLY LIMITED BOOKINGS for the week of July 19 though July 26.  We will be away ourselves on vacation and have only limited capacity and abilities.

*** EXISTING CUSTOMERS *** Remember, we offer $5, $10, and $15 discounts on customer referrals.  You refer a friend or family member to us and they book a reservation of $50 or less, we will credit your account $5.  If they make a book for $50 to $124, we will credit your account $10.  If they make a booking of $125 or more, we will credit your account $15.00.  The exiting customer referral promotion does not expire!
