About ShipPet

We have been providing pet sitting services to the Shippensburg area since 2004.  We have tons of references and clients and would be happy to provide you with some upon your request.  ShipPet is owned and exclusively operated by Mark and Wendy Buterbaugh.  We have lived in Shippensburg since 1994.  Here is a little about each of us . . .

Mark Buterbaugh:  Mark is a 1992 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor’s Degree, a 1997 graduate of Shippensburg University with a Master’s Degree and a 2009 graduate of Widener School of Law with a J.D.  Mark served in the community for a number of years as Chairman of the Merchant Downtown group (1996), served on the Shippensburg Parks and Recreation Commission (1995), elected and served as President of Shippensburg Borough Council (1997-2000) and was elected and served on the Shippensburg School Board (2000-2004).  Mark worked for former local State Representative Jeffrey Coy for 10 years and a total of 14 years on the PA House fo Representative Staff.  After graduating from law school, Mark served as an Assistant Enforcement Counsel with the PA Gaming Control Board, regulating Pennsylvania’s new casino industry.  Currently, Mark works as an Attorney with Post & Schell, PC.       

Wendy Buterbaugh:  Wendy graduate from Dartmouth High School.  Shortly thereafter, Wendy moves to the Shippensburg area and served in several management positions at the Chambersburg Mall with Endicott Johnson and the Finish Line.  Wendy left retail management to start her own commerical office cleaning business in 1994, in which she still operates.  Additionally, Wendy joined Mark in starting ShipPet in 2004.  Beyond being a small business owner, Wendy has raised two children.  Wendy has recently embarked on higher education in order to obtain her degree in Paralegal Studies.  Wendy is expected to graduate from the National Paralegal College in 2013. 

Together, Mark and Wendy have four dogs of their own.  They have two cocker spaniel brothers, Casey and Bailey, whom are both 11 years old, a Pomeranian, Abbie who is 8 years old, and a Chihuahua, Mya, who is five years old.   

Mark and Wendy have been connected to and lived in Shippensburg for over 17 years.
